Online Assignment #1: Respiration
We are going to be learning more about respiration in science. Here are online activities that you can do to help you better understand respiration. Complete as many tasks as you can during our time in the computer lab.
Task #1: Watch this Brain Pop video about respiration. After watching the video, take the Brain Pop quiz on respiration. Print out your results and turn them in to your teacher.
Task #2: Go to the Sunset Ridge Research Links page. Look up respiration on any of the research sites. Find at least two new facts that you didn't already know about respiration. Write these two facts in your notebook.
Task #3: Now that you know how respiration works in humans, find out how other animals breathe at Inside the Human Body: The Respiration System. Click on the different animals and read about how they breath. Choose two different animals and explain how they breathe in your notebook.
Task #4: Write a reflection about what you learned. Be sure to title your reflection Online Assignment #1. You have three options of where to write your reflection:
1. In your notebook.
2. On a Word document and print it out before the end of class.
3. Report your notebook responses online.
In you still have more time: Test your knowledge on Major Body Organs. Print the page and unscramble to words to match the picture. Turn in your completed page at the end of class.
