Useful Tools

As with any journey, you need some essential gear to make the journey as smooth as possible.

Here are a couple of helpful tools to remember:

Ctrl + N will open a new browser window.  This is useful when you don't want to loose your place, but you want to explore another website at the same time.  You can flip between windows by clicking on the minimized box at the bottom of the screen.

Ctrl + C will copy anything that you have highlighted.  This is a great time-saving technique especially with web addresses.

Ctrl + V will paste the last thing that you copied into a new location.  Just put your cursor where you want the copied information to go.

Ctrl + Z will undo anything that you just did.  This control command is a personal favorite.  It is especially handy when you make a mistake.

Note:  Ctrl stands for Control.  The button is located on the bottom right-hand side of your mouse.  Hold down this button and the letter key at the same time to use the short cut.  You can also find these tools under File and Edit on the tool bar.
